Objectives

By implementing the KA171 2022 project, our aim was to intensify cooperation with partners in Israel, Georgia, and Ukraine. These are partners currently facing very challenging geopolitical situations, which made the project all the more of a challenge for us at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (AFAD). With all of the partners, and taking into account the security situation in each country, we decided to focus primarily on incoming short-term mobilities, so-called “blended” mobilities. These typically involved one or two lecturers together with a group of students, with the purpose of organizing a joint workshop at AFAD, in interaction with our students and teachers. This type of mobility is intended to present diverse strategies and approaches to a given medium, through lectures and workshops, while also providing opportunities to get acquainted with the local art scene.
