The objectives of the project Think before you trash were sharing ideas of the participants about the issue of nature protection from the perspective of waste generation - focusing on waste reduction, the importance of implementation eco-friendly behaviour, the negative effects of waste on the human biosphere and the benefits of a sustainable lifestyle. We wanted to motivate youngsters to actively contribute and promote the environmental challenges that we face. Participants experienced innovative non-formal educational methods of learning. Thanks to their gained knowledge they will be able to distinguish a behaviour that is aligned with pillars of responsible living from a consumer lifestyle. They had a chance for their personal and professional growth by strengthening their organizational abilities, analytical and self-presentation skills. We used the method - learning by doing – by forest cleaning, creation of participants’ own campaign and other enriching workshops. We also believe that active promotion of the issue had an international impact and helped the current situation. By performing international mobilities we are raising awareness about the necessity of respecting other cultures and countries, offering them an opportunity to build networks on the international level. Project Think before you trash provided a safe platform for youngsters where they can share their ideas, be fully respected and supported as well as motivated for seeking lifelong learning opportunities
