In the search for innovative and holistic solutions to the key challenges existing in youth work such as effective methods to unlock the potential of young people and increases their motivation to actively enter the labor market and civic life or ‘user-friendly’ tools to develop life management and social skills of young people, we have identified eduLarp as a methodology and approach that can help youth workers and young people in carving a more inclusive society. It combines creativity, collaborative active learning as well as working with one’s self-image and empowerment. Moreover, the results of engaging eduLARP are especially positive for young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds and with social difficulties, mental disabilities, and learning disabilities (Hyltoft, 2008). EduLARP is a unique TC for youth workers that combines specific creative uses of eduLARP (improvisational roleplaying technique combining the training of social and personal skills with the exploration of various themes) for working with LGBT+ young people and with practical capacitation of new strategies to be used in youth work. Our aim is to give participants space to explore and experience eduLARP - combination of game, non-formal education, simulation and improvised theater - and its tools in order to apply them in their own context and support their target groups. The specific focus on youth workers working directly with LGBT+ young people aims to address the need of all partner organizations to diversify strategies to support youth’s well-being, the acquisition of transferable skills, decrease of the risk of social rejection as well as to find approaches that allows young people to engage with educational materials in a playful and dynamic way. We outlined following objectives: -supporting professional development of the youth workers based in partner countries by providing tailor-made solutionbased tools for youth work activities; -practicing new ways of approaching and supporting young people that are now, more than ever, in difficulty of finding a safe space where their experiences are welcomed and shared; -discover alternative ways of working with topic of diversity and inclusion in EU countries; -increasing wellbeing of the youth workers and via them their target groups by working on issues such as mental and emotional health, self-worthiness; - generating new ideas for challenges relating to the Europe-wide youth trends and exchanges experiences, expertises and best practices from the field of inclusive youth work; - enhancing the working experience of youth workers with fewer opportunities by providing non-commercial professional development activities -creating a network of organisations interested in eduLARPing.
