The primary objective of our project was to foster the development of a new generation of young cultural agents in Almería and Zilina, and to facilitate cross cultural exchanges of knowledge and experience. We aimed to empower participants, particularly those facing social and economic challenges, by providing them an opportunity to organise their own cultural event (two arts & culture festivals) autonomously; enhancing their self-confidence, leadership skills, and adaptability. Some of our key goals were: 1. *Youth Empowerment*: Central to our mission was inspiring young individuals to recognize their potential as change-makers and active societal contributors. By providing peer-to-peer learning sessions and spaces for discussion and experimentation, we aimed to encourage the participants to reflect, self-organise and instigate positive change. 2. *Skill Development and Personal Growth*: To ensure participants felt confident in transforming their ideas into reality, we organised an array of peer-to-peer learning sessions and workshops. These sessions delved into crucial skills and competences necessary for idea execution, encompassing hands-on activities like scenography creation for events and insightful discussions on cultural policy and management. 3. *Youth Engagement in Decision-Making*: A fundamental aspect of our project involved informing participants about the intricacies of decision-making across various organisational levels, spanning from municipal to European tiers. During the project we hoped to introduce the participants to these stakeholders and give them the opportunity to establish a dialogue with them, specifically through the means of arts and culture. 4. *Promote Intergenerational and Intercultural Trust*: By engaging in various activities, discussions, and interactions, the project aimed to break down cultural barriers and promote a sense of unity and common identity among both European youth and other generations. Moreover, we envisioned this initiative as the inception of a long-lasting collaboration between Spanish and Slovak youth participants, sowing the seeds for enduring youth-powered action.
