Background

Dozens of courses are opened every year to improve the basic skills of local people, especially women and adults who do not have the opportunity to continue formal education, and to contribute to their employment. Interviews with teachers, master trainers, trainees and trainee candidates show that these courses are not sufficient to encourage creativity among students/trainees, and the development of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills should be supported in the courses. Participation in a 7-day Creative Problem Solving in Education course was planned and implemented in Germany in order to increase the competence of instructors in encouraging and managing creativity in order to systematically teach creative problem solving to trainees.
