-To increase the motivation and adaptation of gifted students: It is aimed to support the academic, social and emotional development of special / gifted students for their adaptation problems to school and society. To increase their motivation by making them inclusive with different education and training approaches inside and outside the institution. -To introduce innovative teaching approaches to counsellors of gifted children: To contribute to the professional development of our teachers by eliminating the lack of experience for gifted students through various activities (invited expert, job-shadowing, seminars, etc.). -To increase the communication skills of parents of gifted students with their children: To help parents to establish healthier communication with their children and to inform them about this issue.
Science and Art Centres (BİLSEM) are educational institutions serving throughout Turkey for the purpose of discovering gifted children, developing their talents and guiding them. These institutions offer students special and advanced education programmes in the fields of science, arts and social sciences. Students have the opportunity to develop both academic and social skills through individualised education appropriate to their abilities. The project "Promotıng Teachers Workıng Wıth Gıfted Students" was carried out between 25 December 2022 and 24 June 2024 with "Istituto di Istruzione Superiore 'G.A. Pischedda'" from Italy and "Agrupamento de Escolas Miguel Torga" from Portugal within the scope of Erasmus+ KA122-SCH-Short Term Projects for Student and Staff Mobility. The main aim of our project is to support the professional development of teachers involved in the education of gifted students. In this context, it is aimed for our teachers to acquire new teaching methods and digital content production skills in order to better meet the needs of gifted students. In addition, it is aimed for parents to communicate more effectively with their gifted children and to support them consciously.
