Objectives

Our school has a reasonable technological infrastructure, with fiber internet infrastructure and interactive boards in every classroom. With our project, we aimed to increase the digital competence of our teachers so that they can use these technological opportunities effectively. Our teachers, whose digital competence increased with our project, created a strong classroom culture in their lessons by using digital tools more effectively. Strong classroom cultures have contributed to our students gaining 21st Century Skills. Our project has made a positive contribution to the academic and professional careers of the students participating in the project activities. With this project, our school has taken steps towards becoming a school that increases its digital and innovation capacity as an institution and raises students with 21st Century skills with its teachers. This project has expanded our school's innovation vision and strengthened its European dimension.

Background

As a result of our needs analysis, it has been revealed that the traditional teaching and techniques we mostly apply in our lessons without knowing the skills, needs and interests of 21st century students are inadequate and even our lessons are often boring for them. However, since today's students are children of the digital age, their interest and participation in the lesson has increased with the digital tools and multimedia materials that our teachers use more effectively thanks to this project. In addition, with this project, the interest of our students participating in mixed mobility activities in foreign languages has increased and their foreign language skills have improved. Disadvantaged students in our project have developed a sense of belonging to both the society in general and the school in particular. Our project contributed to increasing the quality of educational activities in our school.
