With this project our participants had the chance to: 1.learn the information and technologies used in European Hotels and learn the applied methods and techniques at work 2.Observe the different technics which are practiced in Europe and had the chance to compare and contrast them with Turkey’s technics 3.develop the European awareness of the participants ,share social life with them and increase their sense of confidence by working in a team of the tourism staff in the European tourism sector 4.During the Training in Europe, according to the areas in which they were trained in European standards; in the F and B Department, students gained food and beverage organization, purchasing, storage, menu planning, kitchen, hygiene, sanitation, HACCP, effective sales methods, customer service and customer satisfaction skills and in the A and T Department students gained housekeeping, communication with guests, guest satisfaction skills,check in and check out 5.was able to improve their vocational languages
We applied to this project to have the chance of jobshadowing in the field of tourism.As a tourism school : Food and beverage - Accomodation and transport departments are very open to development and are constantly renewed. In the field of food and beverage services, which is changing everyday, there is a serious need to learn about the developments in EU countries and what kind of practices are included in the scope of vocational training. It can be clearly said that these departments are slightly below the standards in finding trained personnel in every aspect in Turkey. In the context of our project, our students, who gained many different competencies in terms of foreign language, professional competence and personal development, together with modern internship and application methods in institutions that are experts and professionals in their fields of Food and Beverage and Accomodation&Transport ,they found the opportunity and they could easily work in high-level companies, institutions and enterprises in Turkish tourism. Language development is important for our students. And it was a very good practise for them in the field of tourism with lots of different people all around the world.
