According to the results of the "Staff Need Determination Survey in the Cooking and Service Field" applied to workplaces, it has been determined that the area where there is the most difficulty in finding experienced personnel is the processing and serving of shellfish. It has been observed that our students cannot access these products at school. In the project, countries and businesses experienced in processing all kinds of seafood were selected. In this way, students will be able to acquire skills in cleaning, sorting, cooking and serving shellfish. An applied foreign language exam was conducted to determine the current state of foreign language skills in our school. As a result of this exam, speaking skills were determined as 18%, listening skills as 22%, reading and comprehension skills as 35%, and writing skills as 25%. As can be seen from the results, it has been seen that the development of foreign language skills in the service sector, which is the field in which our beneficiaries receive education, is one of our priority needs. The aims of the project were determined as the development of foreign language skills and the acquisition of skills in cleaning, sorting, cooking and serving all kinds of shellfish.
Integrating the activities and results determined according to our objectives into our routine operation will be as follows. Within the scope of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, they will provide 100% employment to the beneficiaries who have gained the skills of cooking and serving shellfish in the businesses that are our partner as a project school. In addition, scholarship opportunities will be provided by our protocol partners to these beneficiaries so that they can continue their development during the education process. It is aimed to provide foreign language development that will contribute to the professional development of the beneficiaries in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and to create an opportunity to learn a different foreign language.
