We want to increase the proficiency of our school's vocational teachers on current technology-related subjects in practice-oriented courses. The lack of technological equipment in our school and the lack of knowledge of our teachers forced us to search for solutions. We could not find sufficient solutions locally to support our teachers, and we had opportunities to work internationally with our project. We wanted to increase the competencies of our vocational teachers through On-the-Job Observation within the scope of our project. We aimed to increase the professional skills of our students with repair, maintenance and controls within the scope of our project topic. We wanted to solve the employment problem of our students by continuing the internship of our school's senior students in a developed European country and examining examples suitable for current technology. We wanted to increase the foreign language proficiency of our participants. We also aimed to introduce them to a different culture. We wanted to meet our identified needs through work on a European scale.
Our school's vocational teachers cannot receive sufficient in-service training for applied courses to improve their competencies. Our teachers cannot be productive in the lessons they take with the knowledge they acquired from the schools they graduated from a long time ago. Our vocational course teachers feel deficiencies in their current technological knowledge regarding applied courses. In order to solve these problems, our vocational teachers need to see and monitor on-site practices in enterprises with up-to-date technological equipment. We want to find a solution to the issue of "The constantly increasing technological difference between the tools and equipment used in industry and the tools and equipment used in our schools", which is included in our school strategic plan. This situation makes it difficult for our students to be employable in a job related to their field. It has become mandatory for our school's students to do internships within the framework of work-based education in businesses with state-of-the-art equipment in order to solve employment problems. This project has emerged at the stage of solving these problems on an international scale for our teachers and students in our school.
