The goals we want to achieve by implementing the project are to ensure that our students in the field of Child Development and Education create activities for individuals in early childhood with the Reggio Emilia Approach and learn pedagogical approaches in practice, and to ensure the proficiency of our students in the field of Information Technologies in Java Programming and to increase their skills in line with the demands of the employment sector. As citizens of a country that is a candidate country for the European Union, we wanted the professional, cultural and social development of our students to be equal to their counterparts in Europe and to develop these skills in a way that is suitable for employment in the European labor market. We aimed to help them develop knowledge and use the language effectively.
Our school, Ayvalık Zübeyde Hanım Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, is an institution that provides education in the fields of Child Development and Education, Information Technologies, Food and Beverage Services, Hair Care Services. The mission of our school is to provide our students with professional skills and employment. In the meetings held with the surrounding institutions, we determined that a productive internship is required to increase the professional skills of our students, but the schools in our district are inadequate to provide qualified internships. We chose the Reggio Emilia approach as our topic for students in the field of Child Development and Education. Our students' learning of this newly known approach in our country will make them pioneers in their field and contribute to the education of our institution. The subject of our Information Technologies students is Java Programming Language. Java is a common language and we chose it so that our students can use their knowledge in a wide range of areas. Interning participants in Europe will positively affect their professional development, improve their foreign language skills and increase job opportunities.
