Hatay Mustafa Kemal University aimed to enhance international collaboration, academic excellence, and student/staff mobility through the Erasmus Higher Education project. Our primary goal was to increase the quality of education, research, and cross-cultural competencies by fostering international mobility and creating a more inclusive, sustainable, and digital learning environment. The Programme was designed to be inclusive so that participation from students and staff from less privileged backgrounds could be facilitated. The Programme also allowed opportunities for civic engagement whereby students and staff could be active citizens before, during, and after their participation in mobility activities or cooperation projects. Teaching and administrative staff was supported to participate in professional development activities abroad; and from the world of work to teach and train students or staff at higher education institutions. Under these activities, teaching and training periods, such as job shadowing, observation periods, and training courses were also provided.
