Through the Erasmus+ project, İzmir Bakırçay University aims to increase the recognition of our university and our country in the international arena, to develop cooperation with partner universities in the fields of education, social and cultural fields, to benefit from the academic and professional experiences of the institutions with which we cooperate, to train individuals at international standards and to have these individuals assume future leadership roles in line with the Internationalization Strategy plans adopted by the Council of Higher Education. Thanks to this program, many of our students and staff have benefited from international mobility opportunities and new opportunities have been created thanks to the effective cooperation. The project aims to develop the language proficiency of both students and staff, to strengthen their intercultural communication skills by getting to know different cultures and lifestyles, to increase their professional qualifications by gaining work experience in different countries, and to ensure that students gain independence by developing their communication and problem-solving skills. Students participating in the mobility are expected to reach the necessary cultural awareness level for European citizenship through their Erasmus experiences.
