Objectives

Young people find it difficult to enter the workforce. Unemployment is high, expectations are low. But what if we could change that? Young people living in rural areas unfortunately suffer more from youth unemployment. These young people need more support to build their futures than their urban peers. According to the Developments and Forecasts of Increasing Demographic Imbalances of the European Commission, the world population will reach 9.7 billion and the young population between the ages of 15-24 will reach 1.3 billion by 2050. More than half of these young people will be born in rural areas and developing countries. The unemployment rate in some European countries is higher than in Turkey. According to Eurostat and Tuik data, the youth unemployment rate of some countries is as follows: Italy 28%, Turkey 24.7%, Croatia 20.5%, Romania 20.3%, Slovakia 19.5%, Belgium 10.8%, the European average is 15.4%. We want to realize our project in order to enable rural youth, including young people with fewer opportunities, to create individual initiatives, develop employment-oriented skills, develop soft skills, social cohesion and active citizenship, and increase their intercultural awareness. The objectives of our project are follows: 1. Supporting the harmony and relationships of young people with their peers from different backgrounds, to strengthen their social inclusion, 2. Supporting the development of young people by practicing active citizenship behaviors, 3. Supporting young people to acquire employment-oriented skills by developing their soft skills, to help them adapt more easily to the labor market in Europe, and thus to contribute to reducing youth unemployment rates, 4. Supporting the personal, social and professional development of young people living in geographically and economically disadvantaged rural areas, 5. Increasing the entrepreneurship, creativity and innovative competencies of young people, 6. Supporting the establishment of new networks in the youth field. Our project supports the following objectives from the European Youth Goals: Uniting the EU with Youth Carrying Rural Youth Forward Quality Employment for All Quality Learning Space and Participation for All Youth Organizations and European Programs
