The fact that people have to leave the lands where they were born and grew up due to differences of belief, armed conflicts, natural disasters, political and economic reasons is an event as old as human history. In the last century, the increasing conflict environment, ethnic and faith-based violence, human rights violations and economic crises have led to an increase in the number of people who migrate and seek asylum. Today, the ease of transportation, rapid developments in communication technologies and the accompanying globalization enable the migration movement to take place as a mass human movement in a very short time and to gain an international dimension. However, anti-immigrant and refugee opposition is increasing, racism and violence are emerging. With the increase of racist approaches, actions against immigrants and refugees turn into acts of mass violence. At this point, we realized our project in order to better understand the problems faced by refugees and immigrants both in our city, in our country and in the world, and to prevent acts of violence against them. It is understood more and more every day how important our project is. Therefore, a project supported by the Erasmus+ program was sorely needed in our region. We can list the problems and needs that we have addressed by realizing our project as follows: Low awareness of immigrants and refugees in our region and in our country. -The increase in anti-immigration and refugee opposition in recent years, even turning into violence. -There are too many immigrants in our region and there is very little work for these immigrants. Children of immigrant and refugee families are exposed to exclusion. - Migrants and refugees do not know their own rights. -Immigrants and refugees do not see themselves as a part of the society they live in. -Immigrants and refugees see our country only as a transit country and that's why some immigrants act comfortably in our country rather than acting like guests. -Erasmus+ program is not known in our region. -Youth exchange projects are very few in our city. -The work of the national agency is not known in our region. -The International Migrants Day is not known in our region. The constant increase in the number of incidents of violence against immigrants in our region. Although the problems we shared with you above are only the tip of the iceberg, many problems and needs have been met thanks to the Erasmus+ program specific to our region. With our project, we first explained what the concept of immigrant and refugee was. We changed the negative thoughts of our participants and target audiences towards immigrants and refugees. Together with our participants, we succeeded in preventing racism in our target groups. We have overcome anti-immigration and anti-refugee sentiment. We have ensured that immigrants and refugees are included in the social life of our region. In particular, we ensured the integration of children of immigrant and refugee families into social life. The Erasmus+ program was known by many people in our region. The number of increasing violence against immigrants and refugees in our region has decreased and continues to decrease. The number of associations working on youth, immigrants and refugees has also increased. The work of the National Agency and our institution became known to many more people.
