Objectives

One of the most pressing issues of concern worldwide today is climate change. Scientific research indicates that the global average temperature has increased by approximately 1 degree, and scientists predict that this increase could reach 1.5 degrees by 2030. The 0.5-degree increase in global average temperature over the past 30 years highlights the significant and lasting damage being done to our planet. As young individuals, we are aware of the negative trajectory the world is on, and we are determined to take action now to leave a livable and sustainable world for future generations. Our project aimed to understand this global crisis, find solutions, and collaborate with young people from around the world to implement these solutions. This project, which we carried out over a period of 7 days with 23 young individuals between the ages of 16 and 29 from five different countries, provides an opportunity to observe different societies and cultural characteristics. At the same time, we aimed to support these young people in taking one of the biggest steps towards becoming global citizens. Our project sought to narrate the climate crisis through simulations, psychodramas, and workshops and to address every aspect of this crisis through activities such as cultural events, corporate visits, and nature trips. We also conducted awareness-raising efforts on climate change in our personal lives.
