Objectives

Today, children and young people are growing up with both traditional and modern technology. While it is known that the increase in the usage time of traditional technologies such as television and the content watched have negative effects on the development and health of children, the use of modern technological devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones, which have become more widespread in recent years, is both beneficial and health risks for children and young people. proven by studies carried out.It is seen that the use of technological devices in inappropriate time, frequency and different postures poses health risks such as developmental problems, musculoskeletal system problems, physical inactivity, obesity and inadequate sleep quality. At the same time, the rapid increase in the rate of urbanization, which is one of the benefits of global development, has seriously reduced the rate of children going out and spending time on the street, and in a way imprisoned children in their homes. Children who cannot leave their homes have difficulties in communicating with their peers and cannot play street games, which are the main actors of physical development. As a reflection of all these, the problems listed below manifest themselves in children and young people. • Not being good at establishing and maintaining human relations, • Being introverted and asocial, • Difficulty expressing oneself in social relations, • Being excluded by the society, being alone, • Having problems in the family and not being able to spend quality time, • The absence of a friend or environment where the individual can socialize, • Negative characteristics of the circle of friends and various addictions, • Being away from environments that can develop sports, healthy life and one-to-one human relations, • Having low academic success, • Ensuring the expression of ideas and emotions as they wish, without the obligation and concern of social acceptance, As a result of what we have mentioned above, technology addiction and the rate of obesity in children and young people who are confined to their homes have tripled in the last 20 years. Especially by adding the pandemic process to this situation, the increase continues. Today, children travel by car rather than walking and use elevators instead of stairs. With digital games, children's lives become more automatic, and as a result, children are less active in daily life. Children need 3-4 hours of physical activity and social interaction a day to develop in a healthy way. It is argued that excessive use of technology is associated with lifelong obesity and cardiovascular risk, and this relationship now begins in early childhood. Studies conducted in Europe show that outdoor games support child development and creativity more than indoors. Considering the importance of streets for child development, various studies are carried out in Europe and in many countries. The aim of these studies is to provide playgrounds for children in the streets of residential areas and to evaluate the street as a social platform that serves the whole society. Thanks to street games, children and young people engage in fun activities that contribute to their physical development by doing physical activities within the framework of certain rules in harmony with their friend group. Individuals provide the development of psychomotor skills as well as having fun. Thanks to the energy consumed in street games where mobility is intense, high-level calories are consumed.Street games are the skills that understand teamwork, develop skills, develop muscle flexibility, high-level thinking, stress management, etc. It helps to develop many physical and mental features. As to what problems and needs our project will address, We want young people to realize that they are the present and the future by focusing on the similarities. For this reason, we are planning to develop a sense of effective communication and tolerance among individuals by gathering young people around a common ground and engaging them in group work, thanks to our project. It is aimed to contribute to the physical and mental development of young people by doing activities in a fun way by including them in a work where they will do physical activity under the roof of street games. Young people will be supported to enter areas where they can achieve personal and social development by organizing activities that they will do together, so that young people will have the opportunity to demonstrate their potential. Our young people, who have the ability to produce innovative and contemporary products, will have the opportunity to express themselves.Individuals who develop the personal characteristics we have mentioned will take on a personality that does not hesitate to fulfill their social responsibilities and tries to be included in the activities carried out within the scope of volunteering.
