In recent years, the risk of extinction of the environment around the world has emerged as one of the most important problems. Factors such as migration waves, population growth, and the spread of tourism and industrialization show that the environment is in danger, and the effects of these problems are seriously felt today. For this reason, great importance should be given to studies that highlight the relationship between humans and the environment, combat climate change and protect the environment. In this regard, the Youth Climate and Environment project aimed to draw attention to the danger of extinction of the natural environment and the destruction of the human environment. According to the World Youth Report (2003), young individuals are quite successful in providing effective solutions and producing innovative methods to combat problems. However, young people's knowledge, attitudes and behaviors need to be improved so that they can take an active role in solving environmental problems and contribute to the elimination of these problems. Therefore, the primary aim of our Youth Climate and Environment project was to increase the social participation of young people, especially those with limited opportunities, on environmental problems. Taking into account the needs of the project partners and participating countries and the environmental problems faced by Europe, the following objectives have been determined: -Increasing the sensitivity of young people to environmental problems -Strengthening citizenship awareness by encouraging the active participation of young people -To highlight concepts such as afforestation, combating climate change, and biodiversity. -To create an ecological perspective in young people and the impression that they are a part of nature. In addition to the objectives determined within the scope of the project, it is aimed to bring together young people from different countries to encourage intercultural communication, to fight against prejudices, to participate in projects related to common problems of Europe and to strengthen the spirit of solidarity. At the same time, it is aimed to contribute to the personal and professional development of young people by equipping them with the Youthpass certificate with the experiences they have gained in this process.
