The 'Recognizing and Empowering the Well-being of Youth' project, coordinated by the Hayat Health and Social Services Foundation, is being carried out in collaboration with the Turkey Youth NGOs Platform and EMU, with support from the National Agency. This project is a comprehensive training program targeting youth workers, individuals working with youth, parents, and the entire community. The aim of the project is to address important issues related to the mental health and development of young people and to increase the knowledge and awareness of society in this area. The primary goal of the project is to identify various mental health disorders in young people, recognize the symptoms of these disorders, identify risk factors, and learn appropriate intervention methods. The training program aims to teach ways to cope with the factors that negatively affect young people's mental health. Mental health disorders are quite common in society; for example, according to the World Health Organization, one in four people globally will experience a mental health issue at some point in their lives. This high rate emphasizes the necessity of recognizing and taking preventive measures against mental health disorders. This project targets youth workers, professionals working with young people, as well as parents and the general public. The aim of the training is to enhance the knowledge and awareness of these groups on mental health issues affecting young people, enabling them to provide more effective support to youth. The training program aims to contribute to the healthy development of young people, thereby improving the overall mental health of society.
