We sought to mutually enhance the quality of tourism education by encouraging a synergistic exchange of teaching methodologies, curriculum content, and research insights. Through staff mobility, we aimed to give lecturers and researchers from both institutions direct exposure to international best practices in tourism education, allowing them to bring back transformative ideas and innovations to their home institutions. In line with the internationalization strategies of both BSEU, our project aimed to create lasting academic relationships that support future cooperation beyond the project. This includes initiating joint research, co-developing programs, and aligning with the Bologna Process and global education standards. For both institutions, this project is a step toward becoming more globally visible, academically competitive, and interculturally connected. We also aimed to build a framework for future mobility between the two institutions by establishing robust selection, implementation, and evaluation procedures.
