The main goal of İzmir Katip Çelebi University in implementing the Erasmus+ KA171 project was to strengthen cooperation with universities in non-European countries and support our internationalization strategy. We aimed to offer our students and staff the chance to experience different education systems and cultures, which contributed to their academic, professional, and personal development. Outgoing participants gained global perspectives and new skills, while incoming students and staff enriched the international atmosphere on our campus. The project also helped our university become more visible and reliable as a partner in the Erasmus+ program. As a result of the successful implementation of this project, we were able to increase both the number of our international partners and the grant amount we received in our subsequent KA171 applications. The project has brought us closer to becoming a more global, connected, and inclusive university.
