The KA171 project has effectively advanced Osmaniye Korkut Ata University’s strategic goals of internationalisation, capacity building, and academic excellence. Initially, the university was awarded a contract for only seven mobilities, including opportunities for students with fewer resources. However, following the devastating earthquake that struck the region and much of Türkiye on 6 February 2023, the project required a comprehensive reorganisation to adapt to the new circumstances. Despite these extraordinary challenges, the university aimed to maintain international cooperation, strengthen institutional ties, and ensure that as many students and staff as possible could benefit from mobility opportunities. The project’s targeted approach promoted geographical balance, fostered intercultural dialogue, and enhanced the university’s visibility at the global level. Through efficient budget management and strategic adjustments, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University maximised participation and impact, ultimately achieving 17 reported mobilities—more than doubling the original plan—while consolidating its position as a competitive and internationally engaged institution.
