MEF University (MEF) is a non-profit, endowment-supported, state-recognised university in Istanbul, Türkiye, founded in 2012 by the Dr İbrahim Arıkan Educational and Scientific Research Support Foundation. MEF began instruction in 2014 with the mission of educating internationally competitive, forward-thinking students and bringing together research-oriented scholars contributing globally to science, technology, and their fields. MEF has five faculties, two graduate schools, nearly 200 academic staff, and has grown over eleven years to around 4000 students in 18 first-cycle and 10 second-cycle programmes. MEF is known for its international outlook, academic quality, accessible management, and innovative, tech-enhanced, student-centred teaching. Erasmus+ is central to MEF’s internationalisation and excellence strategy. We reaffirm our firm commitment to the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and the principles of non-discrimination, transparency, and equal access. The 2022-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000078014 project, MEF’s second Erasmus International Credit Mobility experience, involved one outgoing student for studies and supported our goals of expanding mobility beyond program countries and enhancing our partner’s Erasmus+ engagement.
