Objectives

By implementing this project, workshop and workshop-based cooperation is aimed to increase the quality of civil society organizations in line with their understanding of digitalization, use of digital media, digital capacity development and interaction with digital tools, and as a result of the project, it is aimed to create a "Digital Transformation Guide in Civil Society". It is seen as a need for civil society to develop solutions to the problems that hinder the digitalization process by examining factors such as lack of awareness and infrastructure for digitalization, financial inadequacies, and lack of professionalism. Disseminating the guide, which is the concrete output and success of the project, among civil society organizations and creating a model for similar studies is one of the important stages we aim to achieve in this project. In summary, with this guide, it is planned to establish a digitalization department within our institutions. Then, it is aimed to introduce the guide for civil society organizations carrying out similar activities. In this way, we focused on contributing to the digital transformation processes of civil society organizations carrying out youth activities.

Background

The most important purpose of applying for this project is to create a guide to improve the digital capacity of our institutions together with our partner organization, and to develop a model for digital transformation in civil society by applying this guide together with our staff and volunteers. In addition, with the "Digitalization Transformation Guide in Civil Society" in question, it is to respond to the needs of NGOs that operate in similar fields and have the same needs. Civil society is one of the areas where the digitalization processes in the world, especially in the last century, have been taken into account the latest. However, the structure of these institutions, which have functions such as rights advocacy, social progress and problem solving, directly touching people and nature, reveals the necessity of digitalization processes when we consider the spirit of the age. However, the biggest need in this process is the lack of a written text as a guide for civil society organizations. By addressing this need, this project aims to turn the digital transformation processes in civil society into a written text and has the function of being a role model for similar organizations.
