Within the scope of the project, a higher education curriculum and an e-learning module have been produced and the materials tested. As a result of the project, Students with ID disabilities and health problems contribute to reducing the effects of potential barriers they face in the educational environment.
Individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) are unable to consult and obtain health information and use it because of their literacy skills and communicative and cognitive limitations (WHO, 2011). This project generally aims to support individuals with ID education by supporting teachers' candidates' competencies in special education. The project contributes to reducing the effects of potential barriers related to "disabilities and health problems" under the title "Inclusion and Diversity" of the Erasmus+ KA220 program. To achieve the objectives set in the curriculum, two different modules, which are face-to-face and online, were developed. The e-learning version of the module contributes to the strategy “fostering both basic and advanced digital skills” under the title of “Addressing digital transformation through the development of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity” of the Erasmus+ KA220 program.
