Background

The Turkish Volleyball Federation, in addition to its activities within its duties and responsibilities, has also adopted as one of its core missions the goal of positively impacting every individual’s life through the power of sport, especially volleyball. In this context, the Advan+AGE project aimed to create new opportunities for both disadvantaged and relatively advantaged youth through volleyball, using it as a tool to provide them with a different perspective on their career paths and life choices. At the same time, it sought to contribute to their mental and physical development, nurturing them to become healthier, more active, and more conscious individuals. This process opened new horizons for the youth, aiming to transform them into stronger, more resilient, and socially integrated individuals. The project addresses key needs, including creating career opportunities, supporting physical and mental growth, and promoting healthy lifestyles. It seeks to reduce inequalities, raise awareness about healthy eating, environmental sustainability, and prevent food waste. The project strives for a "win-win" outcome, supporting disadvantaged youth’s inclusion and growth.
