Objectives

With the Way2Go project, we aimed to achieve three main objectives: First, to empower young people with and without disabilities by training them as Youth Accessibility Ambassadors and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to promote inclusion. Second, to build an accessible online platform where disadvantaged youth and inclusive organizations can connect, share opportunities, and develop Erasmus+ projects together. Third, to raise awareness and visibility of accessibility and inclusion through outreach campaigns, events, and active community engagement. These objectives were designed to foster a more inclusive, connected, and accessible Erasmus+ space across Europe.

Background

We applied for the Way2Go project to address the limited participation of young people with physical disabilities in Erasmus+ and international mobility projects. Despite many inclusion strategies, real accessibility—both physical and informational—remained a barrier. Youth workers and organizations often lacked tools, knowledge, and confidence to design inclusive projects. At the same time, young people with disabilities lacked role models and accessible information. We saw a need to build a stronger, cross-border support system, empower youth through training, and create a central, accessible online platform to connect them with opportunities. Way2Go aimed to respond to these gaps.
