HORIZONTAL: Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity. 2.- Work on the following specific objectives of the project: • Awareness : To help our students to become more sensitive and aware of the environment in general and related issues. • Knowledge: Develop linguistic and cultural knowledge to acquire a basic understanding of the environment as a whole and related problems as well as the presence and role of humankind in its environment. • Attitudes: To help our students acquire social values and a profound interest in the environment, which encourages them to actively participate in its protection and improvement. • Skills: To help our students acquire the necessary skills to solve environmental problems.

Background

The European School 2 in Brussels and La Inmaculada School in Ponteareas applied for this Project with the aim of promoting joint environmental education in both schools. This project has favoured the development of the following competences in our pupils: environment, the integration of digital innovation in the context of education and the integration of diversity ( as the project has promoted this message through the fact that two different educational environments can interact and learn from each other). Funding was requested to address the following reality: -Developing an original and creative association, highly motivated in environmental education and with great respect for European values. - Addressing the basic European priorities in terms of environmental education, integration of diversity and knowledge of information technology tools. This has been an original project in terms of the partnership itself, the profile of the pupils it brings together and the type of activities proposed: turning these two schools into places of self-care and care for the environment. In short, including quality environmental education in schools has enabled young people to research environmental issues.
