Initial and continuous training for teachers, trainers and other education staffInclusion, promoting equality and non-discriminationDisabilities

Objectives

The desired results and effects are to make students (and teachers) citizens of an inclusive society, thanks to trained and equipped teachers to talk about disability, and more specifically learning disabilities. The project thus consisted of three productions: - Conduct a study on the needs of field professionals (teachers at the end of primary and beginning of secondary/college) - Provide tools in the form of online kits for teachers to work with all children in the class on these disorders - Disseminate training and awareness widely to teachers and 2nd line professionals who multiply the impact by reaching more field professionals.

Background

In order to allow all the actors of the class to share diversity, both the difficulties and the opportunities that it offers, our project aims to equip teachers, whatever their initial training so that they are comfortable with learning disabilities. Our project provides several tools and proposals to better understand and then exchange about disorders in class, with the students who are carriers, but also and especially with others. The desired outcomes and effects are to make students citizens of an inclusive society, through trained and equipped teachers to talk about inclusion, more specifically learning disabilities.
