Objectives

Young people living in harmonious environments are willing to strive for integration and inclusion, they want to work for peace in Visegrad, where inhuman acts of ethnic cleansing took place during the 1992-95 Yugoslav war. The people in Visegrad meet international groups from Belgium, Germany, Romania, but above all from the Balkan countries of Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through their workshops, their theater performances and their informal get-togethers, these young people demonstrate that peace is possible, in minds and hearts, despite the difficult past that the previous generation had to live through. This new generation of young people wants strong connections to the EU and its values, equality and accession. Living in peace and consensually according to democratic rules, with respect, tolerance and equal rights for all are the most important prerequisites for peaceful coexistence, not against each other, in the Western Balkans.
