The needs of the local young persons refers to fewer opportunities, disabilities, migrants need to have more emotional and physical support and as well youth workers, new professionals need themselves personal and emotional strength in order to give the best they can to other young people they are working with. That gave us the energy and inspiration to organise another TC that goes on a step further and anticipate in the current societal circumstances. This transition is focused on 3 elements in particularly : 1. economically : How to find a job or finding substantial education to continue into a substantial job ? Certainly regarding the growth of the unemployment in the next months, years. This topic is also one of the priorities of the Erasmus+ program. More and more it's up to the future employees to take initiatives to create possibilities and be pro-active to be employed. For that you need two things: being creative and having confidence. Two steps to achieve them: develop your unique personal talent and develop a mental healthy lifestyle. These two go hand-in-hand. The economy and society are waiting for: flexible and creative people who are willing to take action and inspire others. 2. mentally, high spirit: Not ignore the heaviness in life, but dealing with this heaviness by having patience, resilience, get to know yourself and staying close to your inner core. That means relying on yourself and making conscious decisions based on your own feelings and thoughts. We believe that gaining a deeper understanding of ‘who we are’ is an empowering process which can lead to positive healthy life changes, in particular by focusing on developing your talents and mental health. 3. inclusion (joining us, movement against the distance) : How can we incorporate every young person now we are more than ever before cut from persons close to us, even from our community, school and family. We can’t change the health situation, but we can stimulate inclusion by giving young persons tools to discover their identity and also empower them. Our main aim was: Youth workers to learn themselves better and this self-knowledge will serve them in helping better the youth they work with in developing their unique talents and finally seeking for a better future (job, mental health and social inclusion). The youth workers are in an obvious position to directly apply their gained knowledge to their work with young people after this TC. Objectives: -To support youth workers to become more aware of themselves, thus to enable them to make conscious choices and decisions that fit with the core of their identity and their goals in life. -To frame a learning process where youth workers can fill in their own future story concerning unexpected changes in their life. -To look how you can rely on ambiguity and powerless feelings and deal constructively with them (resilience) by exploring the effect of stretching the comfort zone. -To provide youth workers with tools to support a deep connection with young persons they work with through a similar process. -To make a clear transition from the learning process in the TC to the daily reality back home after the TC. -To reflect on their own learning process by using the Key Competences from the Youth Pass and give the opportunity for capacity building and future projects in the context of the Erasmus+ Program. This TC was based on non-formal and informal education with a self-directed learning approach. The training course was developed from the expectations and needs of the participants and the experience and knowledge from the trainers. The TC was characterized by highly participatory, interactive and experiential methods. The working methods included case studies, working in pairs and small groups, team building activities, discussions, workshops developed by the participants, self-assessment and sharing good practices.
