The main objective was to increase training and facilitation of skills to deal with highly diverse groups. This objective led to another—becoming a better adult education organization and improving our specific work with activists and members of the LGBTI community. We were confident that we would help further increase cultural diversity in our society and, as always, continue to support marginalized, disadvantaged, and under-served groups (e.g., migrants, refugees, LGBT individuals, the socially and economically deprived, and people with mental health issues and different abilities). We also aimed and developed engaging and reflective leadership and ensured commitment to and capacity for internationalization.
We wanted to excel in our adult learning, teaching, and training abilities for the staff at the GLAS Foundation. Our organization had successfully completed one project with Erasmus+. We also applied because we had seen firsthand the great potential the project and the program held. Thanks to the previous project, we were able to acquire new expertise, gain know-how, and expand our networks. The professional development of the foundation increased after the project, leading to future possibilities and new outcomes. Our target group is predominantly the LGBTI community in Bulgaria, with focus on trainers of this community.
