One of the main goals of our project was to improve the professional competence of our teachers for environmental education to be used not only by some branch teachers, but also by all teachers through an interdisciplinary approach. The innovative methods and techniques according to the EU standards which our teachers learned through course training provided by the project, was shared with others teachers who do not participate in the mobility and will be used in the education and training strategy of our school. The project aims were: 1. Developing the professional competences of our teachers within the framework of environmental sustainability. 2. To increase the awareness of our students about ecological life and the principles of sustainability. 3. Establish strong cross-border collaborations by improving the language skills of our teachers and students
Environmental Education was one of the primary objectives of our project. In this sense, it was aimed to use Environmental Education in educational services not only by some branch teachers but also by all branch teachers with an interdisciplinary approach. Innovative methods and techniques in EU Standards, which our teachers learned through course training, Ecology-based project-based learning activities, environmental education in schools with an interdisciplinary learning approach, digital skills necessary for calculating the Carbon Footprint were learned through course trainings and these methods will be used by all teachers in our school at the institutional level as a result of the project. The mission of our school SU "Ekzarh Antim I" is providing a modern educational process with innovative and effective pedagogical methods and practices for the purpose of education and building knowledgeable, responsible, active, confident individuals with the mathematical, digital, linguistic, intercultural competences. In our school we attach great importance and put a lot of effort into conducting an innovative learning process. Teachers are open to new teaching methods in teaching to meet the needs of the modern time.
