With the implementation of this project, we wanted to achieve: - Teachers to adopt approaches to diversify and practice-oriented STEM learning - Students to acquire in-depth digital skills related to the creation of software codes, use of online resources and platforms - Students to be involved in all stages of STEM learning activities in order to acquire practical skills and the ability to perform different roles in specific tasks - Formation of green competencies - Improvement of practical English language competencies as a basis for good implementation. Through this project, we have introduced an innovative STR^5EAM approach to our school, which ensures hands-on learning in STEM subjects with an emphasis on the five R's: Research, Recreation, Relation (the link between all STEM subjects, between school and science), Reading (use of scientific literature in English), Robotics and ARTS - the arts through which to create products. We conducted various STEAM activities in the same classroom - our MakerSpace. We believe that this is useful both for our school and for the scientific and educational center (CERNN) that will be built in Vratsa.
PPMG "Akad. Ivan Tsenov" is a 53-year-old school with a junior high and high school. The high school has a natural-mathematical profile and a professional orientation with the specialty "Applied Programmer". Students in secondary school study English intensively. In this connection, we strive to provide adequate, up-to-date preparation for our pupils in the subjects relevant for upper secondary education and in CLIL lessons. The other driving motive for us is our desire to connect the educational process with the idea of practical orientation and with science through lessons and activities that stimulate the fun approach, reading and research work. This is our drive for developing this project, with the help of which we will create the STR^5EAM methodology and help our colleagues to keep pace with global trends for innovative STEM approaches and digital tools. Furthermore, through the project, we aimed to make STEM training holistic, conducted by teams including different STEM and English language teachers. And last but not least, this project was designed to further the activities of our newly formed robotics club. We are proud to have become members of a European STEM network with this international partnership, with whi
