The partnership created within this project set out to accomplish the following goals: 1) to analyze and compare the approaches used by the Czech, Slovak, and Austrian partner schools regarding the implementation of smart IT tools in vocational economic education. This included evaluating the most effective tools for online teaching and assessment, methods for secure data sharing and data protection, ways to engage students in developing digital skills, and the use of online surveys, testing platforms, and other innovative digital solutions already in use at each institution. 2) to identify the most successful practices from each partner school and facilitate their exchange by applying these approaches during vocational lessons and piloting them through collaborative learning activities across the partnership. 3) to create a joint instructional handbook that compiles these best practices and proven methods, offering a clear and practical methodology for teachers. This guide is intended not only for the benefit of the partner schools, but also for wider dissemination to other institutions looking to adopt and implement similar digital innovations in their teaching.
This initiative connected three vocational schools from neighboring countries that share a common specialization in vocational education. Each of these institutions places a strong emphasis on integrating digital technologies into their teaching practices, making them naturally aligned in their approach. The collaboration aimed to identify and implement the most effective IT tools for education, which led to a significant synergistic outcome—not only for the project partners, but also for a wider audience through the creation of a methodological guide usable across various educational disciplines. The project offered clear added value for other schools as well, and served as a potential stepping stone towards deeper, future cooperation, possibly resulting in jointly developed intellectual outputs. The KA2 Erasmus+ framework is specifically intended to support such aims: the exchange of best practices, innovation transfer, and synergy through collaborative effort. Since this project fulfilled all of these goals, addressing clearly identified needs, these reasons formed the solid foundation for our application.
