We had set ourselves the following objectives: Increasing intercultural skills: Our students should be prepared interculturally for a European and changing labor market. The job market opportunities and the radius of our graduates should be expanded through the internship abroad. -Increasing professional language skills: They should expand their professional language skills (in professional English as a bridge language, or professional language skills in the language of origin or in German for newly immigrated learners). - Increasing the attractivity of the educational programmes: The aim of offering Erasmus internships abroad is to increase the attractivity of the educational programmes and secure the location.
As a vocational college that is about to be re-certified as a European School in North Rhine-Westphalia, it was important for us to cover the great demand in internships abroad after the pandemic. Also, we wanted to expand the Europeanization/internationalization of our school. Parallely to the application for this project, we submitted an application for accreditation which was approved in 2023. This project should bridge the period between January 2023 and the start of the accreditation project in June 2023.
