This project had several objectives: To address key aspects of education, care and counselling of returnees and potential migrants, the use of digital media and to learn about other organisations' approaches. To develop the intercultural, social and digital skills of the staff and volunteers of the participating organisations. To strengthen the inclusion and participation of European citizens returning to their country of origin after migration and those interested in emigrating. To create the basis for transnational exchange in the field of education and counselling of migrants and returnees, knowledge generation, exchange and joint advocacy for the interests of the target groups.
At the European level, there is no exchange between organisations advising and supporting returnees and those who wish to migrate. The aim of this project was to open up a global learning space that would enable us to learn from each other and find out more about different contexts and approaches. On the other hand, we want to use this project to jointly identify the needs of socially disadvantaged returnees and those who want to emigrate and to develop offers that enable them to participate independently and actively in society. The aim is to learn about, develop, test and adapt methods and approaches of adult education and counselling. The main priority of the project lies in the area of inclusion and diversity, in particular the inclusion of emigrants and returnees, i.e. European citizens returning to their own country after a stay abroad and those who wish to emigrate. Inadequate preparation and lack of information, e.g. on social benefits, regional labour markets and workers' rights, increase the risk of exclusion and disengagement.
