O1: Strengthen the ability of adult education services to reach marginalized communities through participatory art and urban participation methodologies. O2: Create a foundation for deeper cooperation between urban participation specialists, migrant-led organizations, and adult education providers by facilitating staff exchanges and collaborative activities. O3: Achieve long-term impact by building networks and documenting innovative practices that can be adopted by other institutions.
Partners are urban citizenship and creative arts organisations, with combined decades of experience in this area. Based on reflection on our work we saw these core needs: N1: The project was initiated to address the need for outreach to marginalized groups such as long-term unemployed adults (LTUA), NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), and forced migrants. Traditional adult education services were insufficient in engaging these groups, particularly in urban settings. N2: There was a gap in the cooperation between organizations specializing in urban participation, migrant-led initiatives, and adult education providers. This project sought to bridge that gap by fostering cross-sector collaboration. Our partners included newcomers to Erasmus+, and partners new to one another. As such, we also made an effort to make spaces for partners to create and deepen links, with the project structure designed around this, with three shared mobility actions.
