Main aim was to improve media-pedagogical competences of VET teaching personnel by planning, piloting, evaluating tailor-made teaching and learning scenarios to foster the use of 3D scanning, 3D printing, and WEBVR in industry training in the fields of chemistry and IT. This involved learners with different backgrounds and capacities as well as fostered green practices e.g. by resource efficient 3D printing of spare parts in the chemical training plant.
The motivation for applying was to test the hypothesis, whether is it possible to create easily (no-code) 3D scans of objects with a smartphone, tablet, or hand scanner for subsequent 3D printing and WEBVR use, with accessible and suitable hard- and software combinations, as well as implement them in pedagogical sound way in practical training in industry (chemistry and IT) and promote their use by on- and offline measures. The planned project activities and outputs were successfully carried out, by a) addressing media-pedagogical needs of and the qualification of the VET training personnel by tailor-made teaching and learning scenarios as well as a distinctive training program (online learning modules), b) modern media integration for carrying out modernized curricula in practical training with apprentices, as well as c) organizational needs of the management to cope with ongoing on future digital transformation challenges.
