With the ERASMUS+ Euregional Education project, both Gilde Opleidingen and Euregio Rijn-Maas-Noord aim to develop as partners in the Euregional continuous education chain. Optimal networking of stakeholders (through the conference) and a platform to bundle and publicize the results would be in the interest of all stakeholders. With this project, we aim to contribute to the Euregional Continuous Education Chain (ECEC) in the German-Dutch border region.
The idea behind the EKB is that all forms of education in the border region should orient towards neighboring countries. The development of euregional competences should start as early as possible, ideally in childcare with children aged 0 to around 12 years, and then continue into adulthood. The aim of this project is to set an important course so that mutual learning and communication work better, strengthening the development of a euregional continuous education chain. If you grow up in the border region, 'euregional competence' is a key skill for later life. Without knowledge of the language, culture, and rules of neighboring countries, life, and particularly access to the labor market, will be limited to your own country after leaving school. In the border region specifically, up to 50% of potential (including jobs) is lost. This project strengthens the development of euregional competences as a key skill. Internationalization and euregionalization in the school system promote an understanding of different languages and cultures in very young children, fostering openness and a willingness to include all children.
