Objectives

In order to contribute to the correct and positive teaching of the concept of equality between men and women to children, we had outputs that would lead us to our goals in our projects. * Our animation film; aimed to introduce all our students who were at different mental levels to the correct gender patterns and raised awareness about this issue with fair tales, which was one of the works to be done in our project. * Writing fairy tales and make 3D graphic drawing and learning animation programs ; aimed to improve technological skills. While we had been integrating the all levels of students normally developed students had improved their skills for mentally low-developed students.

Background

The gender equality is one of the problems in the societies. As one of the reflections of this, inequalities in fairy tales had critical impact during children's formative years.Because of that reason we believed that fairy tales were needed to be reproduced according to the needs of the society. We identified our needs as equality and inclusiveness. We have combined these two needs with technological developments. So while we had been working on the fairy tales , we have rewritten them in today's requirements.Because fairy tales taught children how to deal with basic human conflicts, desires, and relationships in a healthy way; acquiring these skills can ultimately impact a child's health, quality of life, or even influence its values and beliefs in the future. The ultimate goal of our project was to create awareness about both gender equality and social integration by developing digital and creativity key skills with fair tales, bringing together mentally disadvantaged individuals and normally developing individuals. In this project, students diagnosed with mental disability has been experienced gender confusion in the conceptual skills included in the adaptive skills.
