The project "Lost & Found in Euroculture" was designed to address the challenges faced by intercontinental migrants in adapting to and integrating into European culture. Many migrants find it difficult to understand European values, habits, and customs, as well as to connect with the rich landscape of European traditions, arts, and history. By “European culture,” we refer to a broad blend of values, traditions, languages, arts, and knowledge that collectively shape the European way of life. The primary objectives of this project were: - Promote Cultural Involvement: We aimed to engage migrants in the essential aspects of European cultural life, deepening their understanding and appreciation of European identity. - Foster European Values and Cooperation: By highlighting European values, we hoped to foster collaboration between locals and migrants, bridging cultural gaps. - Expose Participants to Cultural-Political Dynamics: We arranged for participants to meet representatives from the German Ministry of Culture, Members of Parliament, and other decision-makers, providing insights into the relationship between politics and cultural development in Germany. - Accelerate Integration through Active Participation: The project provided opportunities for migrants to co-organize and participate in European cultural events, visit institutions, and interact with decision-makers, enabling a faster and more meaningful integration into European society. Through these objectives, we sought to create a foundation for better cultural understanding and to support a more cohesive, inclusive European community.
