Objectives

We aimed to provide participants with the skills, tools, and support structures to strengthen their participation in democratic life in general and engage with the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine in particular. Moreover, the project aimed to create a dialogue between young people and decision-makers – and to highlight to the former the importance of advocating for increased youth participation in civil society and political processes. Our Objectives were: 1. To engage (in Berlin and Poznan) the target group of youth leaders, civil society activists, and young people including people of color displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. 2. To connect the target group with our community network, support structures, and professional development activities. 3. To empower the target group's continued civic engagement and youth participation through a series of activities providing mentoring, professional development, and expert input as well as a direct line of communication with decision-makers. 4. To maintain connections between our organizations, displaced activists, youth leaders, and participation structures in Ukraine/Belarus/Russian Federation in order to foster dialogue on post-conflict perspectives. 5. To equip participants with the skills and competencies to become multipliers through designing and implementing their follow-up activities
