Our objective is strengthening social inclusion, active citizenship and civic engagement through knowledge sharing and capacity building between grass-root institutions -community projects, local group initiatives and organisations. We want to empower community actors, educators, social workers, project managers and participants in developing key competences and sustainable local solutions that respond to socioeconomic and environmental challenges. We support social innovation, local cooperation and community self-organization through the exchange of tools, methods and good practices related to inclusive community development and models of social cooperation. By involving different generations and both local and refugee communities, we want to create stronger bonds across cultural and social divides, to reinforce democratic values such as equality and solidarity, and to share this knowledge and capacity within diverse communities and local groups. Through our transnational cooperation, we seek to expand our perspectives, to develop our activities and strengthen our capacity for new synergies and long-term collaborations. Overall we want to share the knowledge and competencies needed for more resilient and inclusive communities.
We work with marginalized people, refugees, migrants, unemployed and face similar challenges for improving knowledge and skills that promote local cooperation, solidarity models of self-organization and inclusive participation in democratic civil society actions. Our project address common needs for development of knowledge, tools and capacities in relation to sustainable community practices of self-organization, models of social cooperation, inclusive participation and decision making in social-political processes at communal level, social innovation and development of local solutions for social inclusion, housing, welfare and environmental and climate challenges. We address both specific needs for capacity development and knowledge-transfer in areas of project planning, community engagement and fundraising; and answer to a wider need for exchange of experiences and knowledge of good practices, by strengthening cooperation and networking as well as recognition of local expertise and solutions. Our project enables local communities to build capacity for inclusive cooperation and empowers solidarity, resilience and the active participation of marginalized people in shaping their social and cultural environment.
