There were three goals set at the beginning of the project Mental Health and Resilience: 1. Participating students will acknowledge more the problems of mental health and their stress level has dropped. 2. The study of foreign languages has become more practical 3. Students are more aware of how stress management and resilience has been seen through the histories of the two countries as well as how these topics are tackled in the present day. Another aim was to study the following problems: how did the Estonians manage to maintain mental health and resilience during the Soviet occupation after the IIWW, how has this been achieved in the current independent state. How has the Austrian state managed to deal with the same problems throughout its history and what are the strengths and weaknesses of the both countries from these perspectives. What is needed to cope with stress and be resilient in the today’s society where Covid, the war in Ukraine, energy crisis and general economic recess are present.
