We set out to offer our students and teachers, especially the most disadvantaged, enriching experiences outside the classroom and in a truly multilingual context, offering them opportunities to expand their digital, linguistic and intercultural competencies. In this way, we aimed to provide them with tools to cope and interact in an increasingly pluralistic and international context. We have also continued fostering sustainable life habits.
Previously, our school had participated in an Erasmus KA 2 with European partners to work on the topic of sustainability with our students and teachers and to raise awareness about the responsibility of each individual and community in this regard. This project provided us with a deep reflection on our starting point and fields of improvement and we implemented changes in our school and individual habits according to the 2030 agenda. However, as an Official Language School we needed an effective internationalisation of our school that would allow us to collaborate more directly with EU partners in different projects and to provide our students with a multilingual framework in which to actively develop their linguistic, personal and professional competences. EOI Segovia students are very diverse in age and interests. Some need the language for professional reasons (teachers, commercial workers or in the tourism sector), others are teenage students or young university or vocational training students, there are also unemployed and retired people.
