Objectives

- The project was designed with the aim of encouraging energy saving in the school and in the surrounding households, while promoting environmental awareness and the adoption of sustainable habits among both pupils and local communities. It was hoped to generate an active attitude of respect towards the natural environment, improve the quality of life of families and favour social, economic and ecological sustainability. To this end, activities were developed to encourage reflection on the use of resources, the impact of energy consumption and the need to protect emblematic natural spaces in the participating regions. In addition, the active participation of the entire educational community was promoted, including vulnerable groups - students at risk of exclusion - in order to achieve real and lasting change. The actions carried out made it possible to raise students' awareness of their role in caring for the environment and to reinforce their commitment to a fairer and more sustainable future. Many of the planned activities have been carried out and their effects and impact have been clearly perceived by the participants.

Background

At the beginning of the project, it was designed and created by the participating centres who wanted to respond to a series of needs that had been detected in our schools, all of them related to the development of the SDGs; these needs could be addressed by developing a small-scale Erasmus partnership programme, giving visibility to these problems and collaborating with each other to learn about other cultural realities, knowing other responses. The needs addressed were the following: - Promoting inclusive and inclusive education. This has been largely achieved through collaborative and cooperative work, offering equal opportunities to all students. - Promoting sustainable and egalitarian economic, environmental and social development. Pupils are more aware of the reality around them and the existing inequalities. - Focusing on the environment closest to our schools and the problems that affect it, mainly the pollution and destruction of our natural resources and the measures we can take to change this situation. - Raise awareness and implement actions that promote the responsible use of natural resources and the use of sustainable energy sources.
