Youth employability

Objectives

Three objectives were established when developing/executing the project, which are: 1º)Provide guidance to professionals (teachers, trainers, entrepreneurs) who work with students to help them integrate the set of tools so that students can achieve those soft skills. Give the necessary importance to soft skills and that they can help form a more diverse and inclusive society through the acquisition of skills 2º)Develop technical guides for teachers and students to improve soft skills to enhance employability in the labor market. 3º)Develop a web space where the activities and materials prepared are shown

Background

The association formed by the IES Frei Martín Sarmiento (Pontevedra-Spain), Stredni Skola Politechinycka (Olomouc-Czech Republic), Lyceé Saint-Joseph Lasalle (Lorient-France) and Lucía Mella Fernández (Malta) centers requested the project since They share in common the priority of adapting vocational training to the needs of the labor market, and on the other hand, improving the employability of youth and social skills (soft skills). This project wants to provide greater awareness of soft skills, it would like them to occupy the relevant position that they have, since, when the resumes are designed, a large part of them refer to technical terms, sometimes neglecting how to approach that terminology, concepts or methodology to the recipients. In relation to needs, a needs analysis has previously been prepared that shows the starting point of the project and the skills that are desired to be acquired. Taking into account at all times the project participants: teachers/trainers, vocational training centers, teacher training centers, students, business community.
