Objectives

With TOMETOO, we aimed to empower young people with fewer opportunities by developing digital and entrepreneurial skills, facilitating their active participation in society and their integration into the labor market. We sought to create an accessible and practical training methodology, train mentors capable of supporting young people in their personal and professional development, and establish an ecosystem of collaboration between young people, businesses, and non-profit organizations. We also wanted to promote digital volunteering as a tool for social impact, strengthen the role of youth workers, and position our organizations as leaders in inclusion, sustainability, and youth training. All of this was achieved with a European, inclusive, and sustainable approach, aligned with the values of the Erasmus+ program.

Background

We applied for the TOMETOO project to address a clear need: to equip young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, with digital, entrepreneurial, and social skills that enable them to actively participate in their communities and improve their employability. We identified a gap between young people's potential and real opportunities for integration into an increasingly digital labor market, as well as a lack of accessible tools for youth workers to act as effective mentors. Furthermore, we identified a lack of spaces for connecting young talent with organizations with a social and sustainable focus. TOMETOO was designed to address these needs through training, mentoring, and networking, promoting youth empowerment from an inclusive, digital perspective committed to European values.
