The objectives of the B.4C.K. project are: - to give our high schools, an international scope and dimension after the Covid crisis, - - to give our students, a feeling of belonging and European citizenship while a war rages on the threshold of our countries, - to give our communities, desire and power to act to preserve the environment while the latest IPCC report warns of the ecological emergency. These objectives are found in the chosen themes and are linked to the curriculum and teaching in arts, foreign languages and history-geography.
The concrete objectives of the project are twofold and are based on a diagnostic analysis of needs in connection with the teaching programs of the “première” class: Disciplinary objectives: we notice that theoretical knowledge often clashes with the reality of the world around us, that even very mastered knowledge remains in the state of concepts, abstractions: EMC (European citizenship), History (testimony in the construction of historical knowledge), Geography (organization of a space and diversity of possible actors and national or urban strategies), Arts (creative process in touch with the challenges of a committed work, itinerary of a work), English and French languages. In a simple, almost simplistic way, after two years disrupted by the Covid-19 health crisis, the project responds to the major need of the two organizations by placing them back on the international scene and allowing them to develop a new policy of European and international development. The project also meets all the identified needs of their target groups: disciplinary, civic and citizen objectives.
